John Carter, Warlord of Mars was a 1977-1979 Marvel series loosely based upon the Barsoom series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This 28 issue series takes place during chapter 27 of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel A Princess of Mars. The series was well received and won the 1978 "Favourite New Title ...
